Customer Satisfaction Director at Yorkville Performing Arts Center

Promoted to full-time, directorial position after eight months with the company. I fulfill this position as well as my other roles at YPAC of Acting Instructor, Stage Manager and Community Relations Producer.

 

 

  • Builds connections and relationships with every customer ensuring that each customer feels they are taken care of personally and represent more than a number for the center.

  • Leads team of front desk employees.

  • Serves as the primary communicator between the YPAC administration and parents and students.

  • Processes tuition payments for the center.

  • Generates daily enrollment and payment reports.  

  • Responsible for scheduling make up lessons and classes, trial lessons and classes, and birthday parties.

  • Assists parents and students with class registration.  

  • Perform basic office duties such as answering phones, maintaining email accounts, filing and ensuring general cleanliness of the office and lobby.
     

Acting Instructor at Yorkville Performing Arts Center

  • Instructs group acting class for students ages 8-18.

  • Enforces the fundamentals of acting for beginning and returning actors.

  • Emphasizes scene study, projection, memorization techniques, blocking, enunciation and character development.

  • Prepares students for our spring and fall musicals.

  • Hosts and leads theatre-themed birthday parties.

 
Production Stage Manager at Yorkville Performing Arts Center

After a few months working as the Community Relations Producer, my boss appointed me to stage manager the theatre department productions in addition to my community relations  work.

 

  • Stage manages spring and fall musical productions.

  • Attends every rehearsal to record blocking, provide support for director and provide line notes when performers rehearse off book.

  • Coordinates and leads production meetings.

  • Serves as primary form of communication between the director and performers.

  • Compiles and distributes information about the production to the backstage crew members.

Community Relations Producer at Yorkville Performing Arts Center

  • Build connections with local businesses to acquire their support and promotion for YPAC.

  • Publicize and promote YPAC classes and events to the community through a variety of mediums.

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies for the center and its programs.

  • Collect donations from local businesses for YPAC event raffles.

Production Office Coordinator at Social Construct Films
January 2014 - May 2014
 

After completing my internship, the producers at Social Construct Films invited me to come back as their Production Office Coordinator. This management position includes a variety of organizational duties to ensure the office operates efficiently.

 

  • Oversee interns and delegate tasks to them to complete.

  • Project manager for film development: Using Excel spreadsheets, I outline tasks and due dates for those tasks to guarantee timely completion. To keep up with the deadlines, I send weekly emails to the production team describing tasks for the upcoming week and check back in with them at the end of the week for a status report.

  • Creative support and feedback for film projects, this includes working directly with the producers on casting, story development and script coverage.

  • Bookkeeping: Using Excel spreadsheets to track finances and budgets for the company.

  • Maintain office filing system.

 

Executive Intern at Social Construct Films

  • Provided direct assistance to executive producers researching films, directors and talent.

  • Coordinated and documented weekly meetings for a story development group. Maintained website where members could view story submissions and feedback from other members. Served as primary contact between members and group executives.

  • Project leader for pitch package development outlining requirements, drafting deadlines and delegating tasks to team members.

  • Provided script coverage for prospective films reporting on script strength and overall project marketability.

  • Maintained office filing and records system as well as social media accounts.
